NHRC donates to PM relief fund

KATHMANDU, June 15: The National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) on Monday donated Rs 105,334 to the Prime Minister Disaster Relief Fund.

NHRC in a statement said Rs 51,196 collected from its chairman and members and Rs 54,138 collected from employees at regional and sub-regional offices of the commission was provided to the relief fund for earthquake survivors.






 
 

“The amount was provided as people are forced to live in open spaces owing to damages in their houses by the April 25 earthquake and May 12 aftershock,” reads the statement.
