KATHMANDU, Sept 10: Newly appointed Chief Justice (CJ) Om Prakash Mishra has assumed his office as the 28th Chief Justice of the country on Monday evening.

KATHMANDU, Sept 10: Newly appointed Chief Justice (CJ) Om Prakash Mishra has assumed his office as the 28th Chief Justice of the country on Monday evening.

CJ Mishra assumed the office by reaching the Supreme Court (SC) at Ramshahpath after President Bidya Devi Bhandari administered the oath of office and secrecy to him at the Office of the President on Monday. 


Assuming his office, CJ Mishra pledged to uplift people's faith towards the judiciary; make the judiciary information-friendly; bringing the justices under the book for not furnishing their property details and others. SC Justice Dipak Kumar Joshi welcomed the newly-appointed CJ Mishra at the SC premises. RSS
