Different brands like LG, Chaudhary Group (CG), Toshiba, Godrej, Samsung, Nokia, Dell, Beko, Haier, and Kelvinator, among others, are providing special discounts and free gifts on different products.[break]
CG General Manager Ramesh Shrestha said the company launched New Year offers to meet sales target and ensure customers do not switch over to other brands. “Announcing special offers and discounts help us to increase sales volume by 15 to 20 percent per year,” said Shrestha.
Kelvinator, one of the brands marketed by CG in Nepal, has announced a scheme called ´New Year Treat´ under which customers get refrigerator kits with the purchase of Kelvinator refrigerators and Reebok wrist watches with the purchase of Kelvinator washing machines.
CG has also launched ´Toshiba Power Bulletin - Bhari Chut ko Sukhad Samachar´, under which cash back offers of up to Rs 4,000 are being provided on purchase of Toshiba LCD or LED televisions. Besides, the company is also offering instant discounts on purchase of Toshiba refrigerators, washing machines and vacuum cleaners.
Likewise, under the scheme named ´Jodi Jamyo´, CG is offering customers a partner product on purchase of its products.
Orbit International, the authorized distributor of Beko and Haier for Nepal, is providing irons on purchase of washing machines with capacity of 5 kg to 9kg or wall mount air-conditioners of 0.5 ton to 2 tons. Likewise, customers will get Timex watches worth Rs 2,500 for free with the purchase of 22- to 42-inch Haier LED TVs and 2GB pen drives on purchase of 19-inch LED TVs.
Jasmine Siddhi Bajracharya, marketing and business development manager of the company, said special offers were announced to attract customers on the occasion of New Year and boost sales.
Nokia, meanwhile, has launched ´Nokia Naya Barshako Asha Offer´ under which customers buying Nokia Asha series mobile phones, will get scratch cards that include cash prizes worth thousands of rupees, bikes, laptops and mobile phones. Winners of this scheme will be selected through weekly lucky draws that will continue for a month from Monday.
Neoteric Nepal, the authorized distributor of Dell products for Nepal, on the other hand, has launched ´You´re Lucky with Dell´ offer, under which customers can win Samsung LED TVs of up to 40 inches, Nokia Lumia 920 and 820 mobile phones, Marc Ecko and other branded watches and Logitech speakers by scratching a card provided with the purchase of every Dell laptop. In addition, students will get free Targus laptop bags, antivirus software, one-year insurance, one-year warranty, Internet service and genuine Windows 8 operating systems.
Dell Nepal Product Manager Pawan Pradhan said offers were announced to attract customers and enhance sales.
Likewise, ´Samsung New Year, New Pinch´, offer allows customers to win guaranteed prizes such as rice cookers, mixture grinders, Real juice, irons and microwave oven kits, among others, on purchase of wide range of Samsung products.
