Both the models - Swift VXi and ZXi -- come loaded with petrol engine. The company has set introductory price of Rs 2.39 million for VXi and Rs 2.63 million for ZXi. It has also offered free insurance, free road tax, free ownership transfer, 12 times free servicing and 2 years warranty for a limited period.[break]
The new Swift is longer by 90 mm, wider by 5 mm and has 28 mm more foot space for rear seats and 20 mm additional knee room and 40 mm larger wheelbase than the existing version. It weighs 30 kg less, as the metal fuel tank has been replaced with plastic fuel tank, reads a statement distributed on the occasion.
"We aim to sell around 500 units of this car within a year,” Arun Chaudhary, managing director of CG Automobile, told media persons.

According to the company, the new car will compete with Hyundai i20, Volkswagen Polo, Ford Figo, Honda Brio and Chevrolet Beat. With the introduction of new CG Automobiles, which has market share of around 47 percent in the 1300 cc category, hopes to expand its market share by around 20 percent.
The new version of Swift is equipped with a 1.2 liter K-series engine. The car can produce a maximum power output of 87 PS at 6,000 rpm and a maximum torque of 114 Nm at 4,000 rpm. Its engine is fitted with Multi-Point Fuel Injection (MPFI) supply system for deriving greater performance, according to the statement.
The car has a sporty and aggressive appeal with sleek and curvier body graphics, body colored door handles and side indicators on the outdoor rear view mirror.
The new Swift comes in five different colors: silky silver, glistering grey, torque blue, blazing red and arctic white.
