KATHMANDU, July 13: Nepal Stock Exchange (Nepse) on Wednesday escalated by 59.54 points to close at 1,986.82 points.
The secondary market opened at 1,927.28 points and went to an upward graph from the start of the trading on the day. Just in the last hour of trading, the market gained around 35 points.
Nepse marginally lower in week after last session recovery
The sensitive index that measures the performance of ‘A’ class companies increased by 12.42 points. All 13 trading groups posted gains in their average share prices, with eight groups adding three-digit points to their indices.
Along with a notable rise in the Nepse index, the daily turnover amount also went up to Rs 2.04 billion, from Rs 1.70 billion on Tuesday.
Shivam Cements had the largest transaction of its shares worth Rs 90.29 million. Nepal Finance Limited had the highest percentage gain in its share price while Everest Bank Limited Convertible Preference was the topmost loser.
