KATHMANDU, August 25: Nepal Stock Exchange (Nepse) on Thursday decreased 18.29 points to close at 2,039.55 points.
The secondary market opened at 2,057.84 points and gained around 11 points in the first one hour of the day’s trading. The market, however, went into a downturn to reach as low as 2,036.11 points before gaining marginal points to close for the day.
Nepse marginally lower in week after last session recovery
The sensitive index that measures the performance of blue chips companies fell 3.78 points. The total turnover amount was Rs 1.71 billion, an increase from Rs 1.52 billion on Wednesday.
The indices of all 13 trading groups declined, while the manufacturing and processing sub-group posted the biggest fall of 79.95 points. Himal Dolakha Hydropower Company had the largest transaction amount of its shares worth Rs 112.46 million. Mailung Khola Jalvidyut Company was the topmost loser whereas Upper Hewakhola Hydropower Company gained the largest percent in its shares price.
