KATHMANDU, April 28: Nepal Stock Exchange (Nepse) on Thursday plunged 20 points to close at 2,356.17 points.
The market that opened at 2,376.17 points rose to a maximum of 2,390.11 points before going into a straight fall in the intraday trading. The turnover amount stood at Rs 1.49 billion, an increase from Rs 1.08 billion on Wednesday.

All the 13 trading groups posted losses in their average share prices while the sensitive index that measures the performance of ‘A’ class companies also declined by 4.32 points. IME General Insurance had a transaction of its shares worth Rs 52.54 million, the biggest of all.
Guheswori Merchant Banking and Finance Limited was the top loser. Jalpa Samudayik Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha posted the largest percent gain in its share price. The microfinance company has been drawing the investors' attention for the past few days.
