KATHMANDU, July 21: Nepal Stock Exchange (Nepse) on Thursday shed 5.87 points to close at 2,044.72 points
The market opened at 2,050.59 points and went to the lowest mark of 2,038.58 points. However, it went into an upward graph successively and reached the maximum of 2,065.57 points, before declining again by around 21 points to close for the intraday trading.
Nepse marginally lower in week after last session recovery
The total turnover amount stood at Rs 1.64 billion, down from Rs 1.73 billion on the previous day.
Except for the banking and ‘others’, the rest of the 11 trading groups witnessed a drop in their average share prices. Banking index rose by 2.29 points while the life-insurance group lost the largest of 150.34 points.
Among individual companies, Shivam Cements with a transaction of its shares worth Rs 178 million, led the consecutive second day in the row. ICFC Finance Limited Debenture 2083 was the biggest loser while Central Finance Limited was the top gainer for the day.
