KATHMANDU, June 6: Nepal Stock Exchange (Nepse) declined by 12.89 points on Monday to close at 2,065.82 points.
On the first trading day of the week, the secondary market that opened at 2,078.71 points rose to as high as 2093.08 points before it was down to the lowest of 2054.29 points. However, the market recovered by 11.53 points in the rest of the trading hour in the intraday trading.
NEPSE continues to slide by 3.56 points
Six out of 13 trading groups gained on Monday. Life insurance gained the largest of 198.32 points. The total turnover amount stood at mere Rs 1.27 billion.
Among the individual companies, Asian Life Insurance Company Limited had the largest transaction of its shares worth Rs 82.47 million. Himalayan Bank Limited was the biggest loser while Upakar Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited added the highest percent to its share price.
