KATHMANDU, Nov 26: Nepal Stock Exchange (Nepse) on Sunday increased 47.75 points to close at 1,907.95 points
The secondary market opened at 1,860.20 points and plunged to the day’s low at 1,853.24 points in the first five minutes of trading. The market successively escalated in the remaining period to gain 2.56 percent overall.
Nepse up for a fifth consecutive week
The sensitive index that measures the performance of blue chip companies also inclined 7.83 points. The daily turnover posted impressive growth to Rs 2.011 billion from Rs 1.348 billion on Thursday.
All the 13 trading groups were gainers. Life insurance added the highest of 449.86 points, followed by non life insurance with 358.81 points and manufacturing and processing with 153.97 points.
Among individual companies, the market values of 214 companies inclined whereas 23 companies posted losses in their indices.
Sonapur Minerals and Oil Limited had a transaction of its shares worth Rs 116.66 million and listed at the top in the segment. The share price of Chhyangdi Hydropower Ltd posted the biggest gain of 10 percent to its market value. Infinity Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited lost the largest 2.47 percent of its market price.
