We all make resolutions; and when we do, the need for us to join a library or start reading usually makes up to our list. But then there are a few things that keep us from our resolutions.[break]

The hassle in joining a library, having to physically go and visit it every time we are up for a read, and then there is the fact that wanting to read may be at all odd hours of the day.

However, beating aside these lazy excuses, there is a solution.

Log on to gharMai.com, an online library that delivers the books you would like to read at your doorsteps.

HOW IT WORKS?

All you have to do is log on to the website, gharMai.com, and register yourself online. Registration requires your name, your email id, your phone number, and your address.

Next, you select a membership plan from among the four choices available. Your registration over, you can choose the books you want and have them delivered right at your doorsteps. Once you are done reading, all you need to do is log back to your account and click on the return button. Your book

will then be picked up right from your home.

Unbelievable? Well, believe it!

HOW IT BEGAN?

It began with the wish of opening a public library. Niraj Gorkhali and Ujjwal Pradhanang, the two heads behind gharMai decided that an online library would be much more economical to set up, and at the same time carry a substantive essence.

“The library,” Niraj claims, “will soon be releasing a reading level program for teenagers, young adults and working professionals who are interested in developing a reading habit. We’re trying to meet the reading interests of families by providing a selection of books for mature readers as well as teenagers and young adults across all genres.”

The gharMai duo believes that their initiative would be an ideal portal for those interested in rediscovering the pleasure of reading, and the concept already seems to have caught up for it already boasts a mixed group of members ranging from 18 to 45 years old.
