Nepali goalkeeper Kiran wins 'best goalkeeper award' in Maldives

KATHMANDU, Dec 29: Nepali National Football Team's goalkeeper Kiran Kumar Chemjong has won the title of the 'best goalkeeper' in the Maldives.

KATHMANDU, Dec 29: Nepali National Football Team's goalkeeper Kiran Kumar Chemjong has won the title of the 'best goalkeeper' in the Maldives. According to the Football Association of Maldives, Kiran who had a significant contribution in the victory of the Maldives-based TC Sports Club in the National League Football has won the 'Best Goalkeeper Award' under the Maldives Football Awards 2018. 


Kiran was the part of TC Sports Club in the Dhivehi Premier League 2018 season.

Last month, Nepali National Football Team member Rohit Chand Thakuri bagged the title 'The best player of the year' in Indonesia, the highest level of Indonesian football competition. 


Meanwhile, an 11-member Badorio Karate team left here this morning for Gujarat, India to participate in the International Karate Tournament. 


The team comprises Bika Bahadur Thami, Niraj Gautam, Raju Budhathoki, Jiledar Tharu, Bishal Khadgi, Ajay Tamang, Garima Giri and Sima Rai and they will compete for several age groups in men's and women's category (two) ranging from 80 to under 35 kg, Nepal Karate Federation general secretary Hari Sharan KC said.
