KATHMANDU, Dec 29: KP Sharma Oli, chairperson of CPN-UML has accused Nepali Congress of unnecessarily piling pressure on the President to authenticate the National Assembly Election Ordinance. However, since the Ordinance was a constitutional work, the party had remained silent, Oli said.

“The Ordinance is a constitutional work. We have no comment. However, just for the love of seats in the Assembly, the party forced the President to authenticate,” Oli during the annual Nepal Mountaineering Association’s 27th year celebration said. “If the Congress needed a seat or two, they could have said directly. This wasn’t a big deal.”

I don’t know who saw me doing that. I came to the program directly from hospital.”
