KATHMANDU, Sept 2: Nepal welcomed 67,153 tourists through the air route in August.
The records with the Nepal Tourism Board show that Indian tourists were the highest in number visiting Nepal through air services. In the review month, a total of 26,665 Indian visitors landed at Tribhuvan International Airport.

China with its 5,027 visitors arriving in Nepal stood second in the row. Likewise, a total of 4,629 American tourists, 3,858 Sri Lankans, 3,190 Bangladeshi tourists, 2,711 visitors from the United Kingdom, 1,588 Spanish, 1,520 Japanese, 1,496 Italians and 1,347 Australians arrived to the Himalayan country via air routes during the review month.
