KATHMANDU, April 3: Nepal have set a target of 182 runs for Gujarat to secure victory in today’s SMS Friendship Cup match against Gujarat.
Opting to bowl first at Vapi, India, Gujarat faced Nepal’s formidable batting lineup.
Nepal scored 181 runs for the loss of seven wickets in their allotted 20 overs.
Opening batsmen Kushal Bhurtel and Aasif Sheikh each scored half-centuries and built a strong partnership of 125 runs for the opening wicket.

Bhurtel contributed 67 runs, while Sheikh amassed 85 runs.
On the bowling front, Jaymeet Patel led Gujarat’s attack, securing three crucial wickets, supported by Arya Desai and Drushant Soni, who claimed two wickets each.
With this match marking Nepal’s third appearance in the ongoing T20 tri-series, the team aims to continue their winning streak following victories against both Gujarat and Baroda in previous encounters.
