Nepal Police nabs Indian 'serial killer' on charge of murdering three people

ARGHAKHANCHI, Jan 9: An Indian national and his wife have been arrested by Nepal Police in Arghakhanchi district for murdering three women in Arghakhanchi, Gulmi and Kapilvastu districts.

ARGHAKHANCHI, Jan 9: An Indian national and his wife have been arrested by Nepal Police in Arghakhanchi district for murdering three women in Arghakhanchi, Gulmi and Kapilvastu districts.     


The District Police Office in Arghakhanchi said Indian national Sushant Singh, 23, of Gurgaon, Haryana, was held for his alleged involvement in the killing of the three women including a senior citizen and a widow. Singh’s wife Shiva Pariyar, 22, is Nepali and hails from Shitganga Municipality-10 in Arghakhanchi district. She is also under police control.

Chief of District Police Office, Arghakhanchi, Mukunda Prasad Rijal said the couple is accused of killing 60-year-old Radha Thapa of Shitganga Municipality-10 on January 1 and 75-year-old Jibkala Thapa of Isma Rural Municipality-5 of Gulmi district in October 2022 while Yogmaya Gaire, 70, of Bijayanagar Rural Municipality-4 of Kapilbastu district was murdered in September.     


Police on Sunday made them public and stated that the couple killed the three Nepalis and looted all their valuable belongings including jewelry. Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Rijal shared that the two shall face murder case in the court.
