KATHMANDU, Sept 11: Nepal has invited Special Rapporteur on Right to Food and Special Rapporteur on Violence against Women, its Causes and Consequences for a country visit to Nepal at a convenient time.
According to a press statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA), the invitation was extended continuing the tradition of government's steadfast cooperation with the Special Procedures mechanism of the UN Human Rights Council.

“This [the invitation] will be conveyed to the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR) through Nepal's Permanent Mission to the United Nations Office and Other International Organizations in Geneva tomorrow [Monday],” said the statement. Nepal has reiterated the invitation, which was extended in 2014 and later reiterated in July this year, to the Special Rapporteur on Human Rights of Migrants.
The earlier visit of the Special Rapporteur on the Human Rights of Migrants scheduled for the end of 2014 was later postponed by the Special Rapporteur.
