BAITADI, Nov 21: Nepal-India border in Baitadi, a district of the Province 7, is to be sealed for three days in view of the first round of the elections to the House of Representatives and State Assemblies scheduled for November 26.
Jhulaghat of Baitadi shares border with India. Likewise, the Nepal-India border in its neighboring district Darchula shall also be closed for 72 hours. As said by Baitadi's Chief District Officer Siddharaj Joshi, the Jhulalghat border shall remain shut from 12:00 midnight of November 23. Movements of vehicles and people except ambulance and sick shall be banned along the border during the period of border sealing.
Border sealed at five customs points in Mahottari
According to him, internal security mechanism has been strengthened in view of the elections and voters can take part in the elections confidently.
The first round of elections is taking place in Baitadi, Darchula, Bajhang and Bajura, parts of the Province 7 as other 28 districts on November 26.
