KATHMANDU, Dec 5: Himalayan Travel Mart 2017 was officially launched amid a function in Dhulikhel on Sunday.
Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA) Nepal Chapter is organizing the event on June1-4, 2017 in Kathmandu to promote Nepali tourism products and services in the international market.
Representatives from the Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation, Nepal Tourism Board, different travel trade associations, airlines, hotels and corporate houses, among others were present in the launching ceremony.
The event is being organized to redefine adventure tourism and also establish Nepal as a gateway to the Himalayas, according to PATA Nepal Chapter. PATA International is supporting the event.
Shankhar Prasad Adhikari, secretary of the Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation, graced the launching ceremony as the chief guest. Similarly, Chairman of PATA International Andrew Jones, Inbound President of Professional Travel Bloggers Association and CEO of Xpat Media Matt Gibson were present in the launching ceremony as special guests.
On the occasion, PATA Nepal Chapter also launched the official logo of the travel market in the presence of 150 attendees. Similarly, PATA Nepal Chapter is organizing International Bloggers and Media Conference from May 22 to June 1 to showcase the beauty of Nepal to international travel bloggers and mediapersons.
The main organizing committee of Himalayan Travel Mart is chaired by the Secretary of the Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation. It will also have representations from Nepal Tourism Board and different travel trade associations.
