Nepal gifts 100,000 protective masks to China

KATHMANDU, Feb 7: Nepal has gifted 100,000 protective masks to China to battle the coronavirus.


A meeting at the Prime Minister’s residence on Thursday had decided to send 100,000 protective masks to China.

As per the decision, Foreign Minister Pradip Gyawali and Health Minister Bhanubakta Dhakal handed over the masks to Chinese Ambassador to Nepal Hou Yanqi at a program organized at Ministry of Foreign Affairs today.


Amid the shortage of protective masks in China, Nepal government had decided to send masks to China.


Addressing the program, Chinese Ambassador to Nepal Hou Yanqi expressed heartfelt thanks to Nepal and international community for their contribution to contain corona virus.


“This kind of support and unity has provided China and its citizens with the much needed will power to battle it”, she added.
