KATHMANDU, Aug 21: Nepal Gas Industries Pvt Ltd (NGI) has launched composite cylinder of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG), the household cooking gas, in the Nepali market amid a function held in Kathmandu on Sunday.
The composite cylinders are globally acclaimed for their safety and convenient features, according to the company.

These UV-protected eco-friendly cylinders are made of fiber and are tested to be safe even when engulfed in fire, the company has claimed.
The cylinders have a user-friendly translucent body enabling consumers to check LPG levels with ease when in use, and they can withstand extreme weather, according to the company.
The cylinders come in two sizes -- 14.2 kg and 5 kg -- costing Rs 10,600 and Rs 6,985 respectively.
NGI has said that it uses cylinders of ISI standards that are tested and certified by both Indian and Nepali authorities. The company has the biggest production and gas storage capacity in Nepal.
