Nepal feels like home to me: Afridi

KATHMANDU, Sept 24: Former captain of Pakistan Cricket Team, Shahid Afridi arrived in Nepal on Thursday to play the fourth edition of the Everest Premier League (EPL).

KATHMANDU, Sept 24: Former captain of Pakistan Cricket Team, Shahid Afridi arrived in Nepal on Thursday to play the fourth edition of the Everest Premier League (EPL).


All-rounder Afridi is participating in the EPL from Kathmandu Kings XI. “Nepal is like a home for me and I am very happy to be here,”Afridi said. “I have heard a lot about Nepal and Nepali cricket supporters, I have also heard about the hospitality here. I have come here to support Nepal and Nepal's cricket.”

He also informed that he will play only two games in the EPL. The fourth edition of the EPL is starting from Saturday at the cricket ground of Tribhuvan University in Kirtipur. Kathmandu Kings XI will start its journey in the tournament with a game against Lalitpur Patriots.


Six teams including Lalitpur Patriots, Biratnagar Warriors, Bhairahawa Gladiators, Pokhara Rhinos and Chitwan Tigers are participating in the competition which will be held from September 25 to October 9.
