KATHMANDU, May 27: Nepal has exported tea worth Rs 2.46 billion till mid-March of the current fiscal year (FY) 2023/24.
In the Economic Survey released by the Ministry of Finance, it has been stated that under the category of agricultural products, the import of tea is worth Rs 2.4 million, while the export is worth Rs 2.463 billion.
In the last fiscal year 2022/23, Nepal exported tea worth Rs 3.937 billion and imported worth Rs 129 million rupees.
In the fiscal year 2021/22, tea worth Rs 80.4 million was imported while the export was worth Rs 3.43 billion.
