KATHMANDU, Dec 5: The Department of Customs has reported that goods worth Rs 52.67 billion have been exported in the first four months of the current fiscal year 2024/2025.
The Birgunj Customs Office has exported goods worth Rs 12.12 billion in the four months of the current fiscal year. Due to the integrated check post and dry port, more goods have been exported via Birgunj than the other 26 customs offices in the country.

According to Chief Customs Administrator Deepak Lamichhane, products such as synthetic yarn, soybean oil, mustard cake, and woolen carpets have been exported from the Birgunj customs. The dry port has exported goods worth Rs 1.51 billion.
Meanwhile, the Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) Customs Office said that goods worth Rs 12.35 billion were exported during the four months of the fiscal year.
