Namseoul University, Seoughwan, South Korea celebrated International Day on April 2. And the event also had Nepal Day as one its part. According to a press statement released by the University the celebration was divided into two segments. In the first segment of the celebration, Oscar nominated Nepali movie ‘Caravan’ was screened and traditional Nepali foods were served for the attendees.

More than 60 students and professors were present for the Nepal Day celebration. The press statement added that during the second half of the event, the guests gave their opinion on the event. In the event, Nepal Embassy, Acting Ambassador Kiran Shakya; Second Secretary Uddav Neupane and FNJ South Korea branch Raj Kumar Tamang were invited as the special guests.
It quoted Professor Sirjana Thapa saying, "International Day provides an opportunity to understand the values and cultural diversity of students from different countries. It also inspires international students to accept people from different culture and help them to share their own culture."
Expressing his view on the celebration of Nepal Day, Professor Eun Sil Kim has been quoted saying, "Nepal Day was successfully celebrated here in Namseoul University. We experienced traditional Nepali food and watched Nepali movie. We Koreans have realized Nepal has rich culture.”
