The Nepalese team will be led by midfielder Basanta Gauchan. The team will have the advantage of playing at home.
Gauchan, expressing confidence in his youth side, said that his captaincy would be more memorable if his team comes out on top.
The Srilankan Team´s skipper Chatura Mathuranga said that his team will be playing for a win in every single match of the tournament. However he said that his team hold Nepal in high regard. "Nepal play quality football," he further added.
The last match between Nepal and Sri Lanka was played three years ago in Bangladesh during the AFC Challenge Cup. Sri Lanka had sealed the match after a tie breaker.
