Nepal bags two silver medals in World Muay Thai

KATHMANDU, March 24 : Nepal bagged two silver medals in the World Muay Thai, held at Lumpini Stadium, Thailand between March 9-16, confirmed Nepal Muay Association President Ganeshlal Kakshapati on Monday. Nepal bagged two silver medals from Chultim Lama in men's 63.5 kg and Surya Bahadur Budathoki in men's 71 kg. Chultim defeated his Bangladeshi opponent while Suryabahadur beat an opponent from Lebanon.

Anne and Sangrakshak progress into ATF Junior Tennis in Thailand

KATHMANDU : Anne Mathema and Sangrakshak Bhushan Bajracharya progressed into the second round of the Asian Tennis Federation U-14 Junior Tennis Championship Division One Tour-2 in Thailand on Monday. Sangrakshak completed a 6-4, 6-7 and 6-3 win over his top ranked Russian opponent while Anne sailed into the second round by virtue of bye. They are participating in the tournament from the fund provided by International Tennis Federation Grand slam.

Ishu Football Championship being organized after about a decade

KATHMANDU: Jawalakhel Youth Club is organizing Ishu Football Championship after about a decade. The tournament, which is scheduled to kick off from May 16, is being organized under new title as Ishu-Arun Cup Running Shield. The club aspires to recruit best talents from the tournament to provide chances in different competitions under the club.
