The NA has claimed that it submitted its report to the Defense Ministry on the whereabouts of the 12 people prepared by a High-Level Task Force chaired by Brig Gen Sarad Kumar Neupane (now retired) as directed by the Constituent Assembly´s Committee on Foreign Affairs and Human Rights on 12 June, 2006.
Asked to comment on the report, Brigadier General Ramindra Chettri, the chief of the Directorate of Public Relations of NA, said, “From the investigations, the whereabouts of the 12 persons of the 49 were presented to the Defense Ministry by the 5-member NA Task Force.”
Chettri added, “We have always extended cooperation and support to the government and we will continue to do so in the future.”

The Defense Secretary had presented the findings before the CA committee on October 16, 2006.
The NA submitted another report with complete findings to the Defense Ministry on October 31, 2006.
