Nebraska chapter of Nepali Janasamparka Samiti formed

KATHMANDU, Feb 3: Nepalis living in the United States have formed Nebraska chapter of Nepali Janasamparka Samiti (Nepali Public Relations Committee), according to a statement issued by the Samiti on Sunday.



The statement said a gathering of the Nepalis unanimously elected the seven-member executive committee headed by Tika Ram Sapkota. Others in the committee are Nabin Sharma (vice-chairperson), Hari Kandel (General Secretary), Bishnu Bhattarai (treasurer), and members Kumar Gurung, Bhuwan Niure and Rama Ghimire. Following his election, Sapkota said he would work towards consolidating the organization.



Established in 2004, the Nepali Janasamparka Samiti is a committee affiliated with the Nepali Congress party.



In his message to the gathering, US chairperson of the Samiti Anand Bista said the Samiti is forming its local units in all states of the US.
