NEA warns industries of action in case of failure to pay outstanding dues by Nov 27

KATHMANDU, Nov 14: The Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) has asked the industries which have used electricity from dedicated feeder and trunk lines to pay their outstanding dues within November 27. The NEA has warned that action will be taken in accordance with the law, in case of the failure to do so.

KATHMANDU, Nov 14: The Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) has asked the industries which have used electricity from dedicated feeder and trunk lines to pay their outstanding dues within November 27. The NEA has warned that action will be taken in accordance with the law, in case of the failure to do so. 


Issuing an urgent notice on Thursday, the Council of Ministers and the NEA Board of Directors have decided to collect the arrears within 15 days, urging the industries to clear their dues.

“It is requested to submit the arrears as per the bill to the concerned distribution center within 15 days (ie 27th November, 2024). It is to inform the concerned that in case the arrears are not paid within the specified time, penalty will be incurred as per the rules,” the notice reads.
