KATHMANDU, Oct 27: The ruling Nepal Communist Party (NCP) has cancelled this year’s tea reception.
The party has been hosting tea receptions annually on the occasion of Dashain, Tihar and Chhath among other festivals.

Issuing a press statement on Tuesday, the party announced not to host the tea reception due to COVID-19 pandemic.
