The visiting delegation comprises of 10 Chinese government officials and 40 Chinese traders.Speaking at the program, NCCCI President Rajesh Kaji Shrestha requested the delegation to help increase Chinese investment in Nepal, enhance Nepal-China trade, and ease transit trade between the two countries. Shrestha also urged for a better flow of tourism between Tibet and Nepal and promote export of Nepali handicraft products to China.
Similarly, Chinese delegation leader Najie said that TAR is committed to strengthen bilateral trade relationship between Nepal and China. "We will immediately try to resolve trade barriers that exist between Nepal and China," Najie added.
At the program, NCCCI and China's Tibet Chamber of Border Trade signed a memorandum of understanding to organize 'Investment and Trade Fair' to enhance bilateral trade and facilitate Chinese investment in Nepal. The understanding aims to conduct trade dialogues between two countries, hold seminars and promote products, according to a press release issued by NCCCI.
Meanwhile, different private companies of Nepal and Tibet signed agreements to go in joint venture and enhance Nepal-China trade. The joint venture agreements was signed between Tibet Tianjin Company and Tunche Trans Himalayan Trading Concern, Tibet Shannan Construction Project and Material Industrial Corp and Nepatop Company, Tibet Gagling Construction Company and Tranquility Spa, Tibet Khada Construction Company and Golchha Organization, Tibet Zhongxin Group and Nepal International Business, and Xin Xing Construct Company and Rolpa Cement, according to the release.
