GORKHA, May 16: The Nepali Congress (NC) has emerged victorious in Arughat Rural Municipality of Gorkha. NC candidates for Chairman and Vice Chairperson Raju Gurung and Kalpana Nepali received 5,556 votes and 5,361 votes, respectively.
Gurung’s closest rival Krishna Nepali of UML received 4,833 votes while Nepali’s closest rival Sita Dahal received 3,816 votes.

NC emerged victorious in ward 1, 2, 3, 7, and 8 of Arughat while the UML secured victory in ward 4, 5, 6, and 10.
