TANAHUN, Nov 23: Nepali Congress (NC) leader Jit Prakash Ale has won the election to the Province Assembly from Tanahun-2 (b), as per the vote counting completed this morning.
Prem Ale and Maya Rai take oath of office and secrecy
Ale made it through with a margin of 640 votes. Returning Officer Govinda Upadhyay said that Ale got 13,860 votes while his nearest rival Kedar Sigdel of CPN-UML secured 13,220 from the total 29,898 votes cast.
Elected NC’s Ale is the party’s Tanahun District Committee President while Sigdel is a member of the outgoing federal parliament.
