KATHMANDU, Aug 28: The main opposition Nepali Congress has strongly objected the cabinet’s recent meeting through video conference.
Speaking to the media persons at the party headquarters in Sanepa today afternoon, party spokesperson Bishwa Prakash Sharma said that meeting via online video conference was not acceptable as it is liable to violation of privacy. “It was a serious error by the Prime Minister of participating the meeting from Singapore although he had already delegated the responsibility of the acting Prime Minister to the Deputy Prime Minister,” Sharma added further.

Sharma said, “It may continue as a precedent among the parliament and judiciary, leading to the ruin of privacy. It’s exactly what Nepali Congress fears of.”
On a different note, it was informed that Central Committee Meeting of the party has been postponed to Thursday afternoon citing the health issue of senior leader Ram Chandra Poudel, which was scheduled for Wednesday.
