KATHMANDU, Nov 3: The Nepali Congress (NC) has welcomed the seven-point agreement reached between the political parties, saying the deal has prepared “credible” ground for completion of the peace process and constitution writing.

A joint meeting of the central working committee and parliamentary party of NC held on Thursday at Singha Durbar stressed on the need for implementation of the agreement.

“There is no doubt that the implementation of the agreement can only conclude the peace process and constitution writing,” reads the press statement issued by NC Spokesperson Nabindra Joshi on Thursday.

NC has urged the government, Constituent Assembly and the Special Committee for Supervision, Integration and Rehabilitation of the Maoist combatants for an immediate and sincere implementation of the agreement.

NC has said the party is determined to implement the agreement.
