KATHMANDU, April 30: A Central Committee meeting of the Nepali Congress scheduled for today has been called off.
The CC meeting called by NC President Sher Bahadur Deuba to propose the names for office bearers has been deferred for four days over the disagreement of the Pudel faction. The meeting will take place at 2 pm on Friday.

NC President Deuba was making preparations to propose names for the office bearers at the CC meeting today 26 months after the 13th General Convention of the Nepali Congress.
Paudel had warned that he would boycott the meeting if Deuba picked the names of office bearers unilaterally.
According to sources, Deuba was planning to propose Bimalendra Nidhi as Deputy Vice President, Purna Bahadur Khadka as General Secretary and Prakash Sharan Mahat as Deputy General Secretary.
