In a press meet held on Sunday in the capital, NYFN President Kabindra Burlakoti informed that the youth forum will bring together 250 youths from across the country along with 30 international delegates from various countries in a bid to foster the culture of dialogue among the youngsters.[break]
“The participants were chosen from 2,000 applicants who are from diverse backgrounds and geographical locations. The discussion will touch upon federalism, constitution making process, peace process, civic responsibility, climate change, sustainable economy and leadership,” said President Burlakoti, adding, “We hope the forum will also reveal new talented change makers.”
Likewise, a rally will also be held from Bhrikutimandap on February 6 to pressurize the concerned stake holders for ensuring the voting rights for the youths above the age of 16.
Following the rally, a national dialogue is also slated to be held during the inauguration ceremony on the same day, which is going to take place at National Academy Hall in Kamaladi. Former Ministers for Peace and Reconstruction are scheduled to deliver their speeches on Nepal’s ongoing peace process.
Nepali Congress President Sushil Koirala, Madhesi Rights Forum Chairperson Upendra Yadav, Former Chairperson of Constitutional Committee of Constituent Assembly Nilambar Acharya, Madhesi People Rights Forum (Democratic) Leader Jitendra Dev, Economist Dr Chiranjibi Nepal, Religious Leader Chintamani Yogi, are amongst the prominent leaders who will be addressing the inaugural ceremony.
