The declaration has laid emphasis on the implementation of the report produced by a team led by Supreme Court Justice Hari Krishna Karki for elimination of anomalies and aberrations propping up the judiciary.

The declaration also urged the concerned authorities to address complaints regarding appointment of justices mainly based on political influence and also pay attention towards maintaining honesty to judicial dispensation, individual character and public prestige by ending favoritism, nepotism, protectionism, power sharing and political influence.

As noted in the declaration, the Conference has called for the Council to set up an effective mechanism to monitor whether or not the code of conduct is adhered to so as to reduce disputes raised in regard to the conducts of legal practitioners.

The conference has laid emphasis on the establishment of Lawyers' Foundation to develop capacity of new entrant legal practitioners and enhance expertise of the lawyers who are already in the profession.
