KATHMANDU, July 8: The Appropriation Bill- 2076 BS has been approved by the National Assembly (NA) today. Minister for Finance Dr Yuba Raj Khatiwada had presented the proposal seeking approval on the same in the meeting of NA, which was endorsed by the Upper House by a majority.
NA endorses 'Appropriation Bill, 2077 BS' by majority votes
The Bill has already been passed by the House of Representatives. The Appropriation Bill-2076 BS will be effective from the 17 July this year once it is authenticated by President Bidya Devi Bhandari.
Similarly, the Upper House disapproved of the proposal by the majority to cut down on the expenditures of various ministries tabled by parliamentarians Anita Devkota, Mukta Kumari Yadav, Badri Prasad Pandey, Prakash Panta and Ramesh Jung Rayamajhi. The meeting also approved the proposal seeking deliberations on Finance Bill-2076 BS, the Bill to Mobilize National Loan, 2076 BS and the Loan and Guarantee (Twenty Third) Bill, 2076 BS presented by Minister Khatiwada. The next meeting of the NA is scheduled for July 9 at 4 pm. ---
