Dahal invited to N.Korea, envoy says "South and North Korea in favor of national unity"

KATHMANDU, Jan 21: North Korean Ambassador to Nepal Kim Yong-hak paid a courtesy call on CPN (Maoist Center) chairperson Pushpa Kamal Dahal on Sunday at party office Parisdanda.


During the meeting, envoy Kim congratulated Dahal for securing victory forming Left alliance. He invited Dahal to attend the 70th establishment celebration of Korean Communist Party to be held on September.

Stating that the people of South Korea and North Korea are in favor of national unity and unification, Ambassador Kim expressed his happiness over the establishment o the Republic in Nepal by the revolution.  


In his response, CPN (MC) chair Dahal accepted the invitation and assured that one high level team will grace the ceremony. He informed the North Korean envoy that the party unification between CPN-UML and CPN (MC) is at its final stage and claimed that the consensus among the parties has helped in the peace process, promulgation of the constitution and the implementation of the constitution.
