Muglin-Pokhara road expansion: 53 percent works completed in western section

DAMAULI, June 9: Around 53 percent construction works have been completed in the western section of the Muglin-Pokhara road expansion project.

Project Chief Krishna Bahadur Kunwar informed that blacktopping has been done on both sides of the 24-km stretch while 12.8-km section has been blacktopped one way.


Remaining three-kilometer is yet to be blacktopped one way in the western section and it will be completed by mid-June, he shared.


Construction of ten out of 12 bridges have been completed so far in the western section, he said adding 92 among 100 culverts have been constructed.


A total of 424 electric poles are to be removed in the section which has also delayed the overall construction works, he shared.
