Sushil Poudel, the coordinator of today’s program, said the summiteers have glorified the identity of Nepal and Nepalis. “They are the heroes of the mountain,” he added.
The Nepali climbers comprising Mingma Gyalje Sherpa, Nirmal Purja Magar, Gelje Sherpa, Mingma David Sherpa, Mingma Tenzi Sherpa, Dawa Temba Sherpa, Pem Chhiri Sherpa, Kilu Pemba Sherpa, Dawa Tenzing Sherpa, and Sona Sherpa had reached the top of the 8,611-meter high mountain at the same moment.
