26-year-old Thapa is the first participant to represent Nepal in the competition. Sharing his joy, Mrs Nepal organizer Eplanet’s President Santosh Sapkota remarked, “Representing Nepal for the first time in the competition and winning an award is a matter of pride.” [break]
Originally from Kavre, Thapa has been residing in Kathmandu and is also the Goodwill Ambassador of Rakshya Nepal. During the competition, she performed a Nepali cultural dance in the song ‘Mai ramri huun, k garaun’.
Mrs Holland Sheryl Lynn Baas was crowned Mrs Globe 2013 amidst the program held at the Westin Shenzhen Futian Hotel in Shenzhen, China on Monday.
