The Morcha cadres vandalized the vehicles at around 3:00 am for defying the transport shutdown called by the outfit in the Tamsaling region for Thursday. [break]
The vandalized vehicles include a microbus (Ba 2 Kha 8052) from Ilam, and two passenger buses (Na 4 Kha 4517) from Birgunj and (Na 3 Kha 627) from Janakpur. All the three vehicles were heading to Kathmandu.
It is yet to establish the number plates of the other vehicles, Badri Sedhai, chief of the Mahadevbesi Police Post said.
The Morcha, which has been operating in the hilly districts in the past, is involved in a number of incidents including bomb explosions in Dhading district.
