Monsoon spreads across Nepal

KATHMANDU, June 23: The Department of Hydrology and Meteorology (DHM) of the Meteorological Forecasting Division (MFD), in a regular bulletin on Friday, said that monsoon has spread across the country.

KATHMANDU, June 23: The Department of Hydrology and Meteorology (DHM) of the Meteorological Forecasting Division (MFD), in a regular bulletin on Friday, said that monsoon has spread across the country.


This year's monsoon arrived in Nepal one day later than the average date on June 14 in the eastern parts of Koshi, Madhesh and Gandaki provinces and most parts of Bagmati Province.

It is mentioned in the bulletin issued by MFD that light to moderate rainfall will occur in many places of the country for the next three days.


Similarly, it is stated that heavy rain is likely in a few places of Madhesh, Bagmati, Gandaki and Lumbini provinces. MFD has also requested caution as there is a possibility of floods, landslides and erosion during the monsoon season.
