Miss India Manushi Chhillar crowned Miss World 2017

KATHMANDU, Nov 18: Manushi Chhillar was crowned Miss World 2017 at the 67th edition of Miss World 2017 pageant held on Saturday in Sanya City Arenam, China.

KATHMANDU, Nov 18: Manushi Chhillar was crowned Miss World 2017 at the 67th edition of Miss World 2017 pageant held on Saturday in Sanya City Arenam, China.

She is the 6th Indian to win the coveted crown. India last won the crown in 2000 when Priyanka Chopra won the title. Manushi succeeded Miss World 2016 Stephanie Del Valle from Puerto Rico. At the same event, Stephanie Hill from England was adjudged first runner-up and Andrea Meza from Mexico was adjudged second runner-up.


The contestants from 108 countries were narrowed down to Top 5 finalists wherein England, France, India, Kenya, and Mexico made the final cut. This year at the Miss World pageant Multimedia Award was won by Mongolia. Beauty with a Purpose was won by South Africa, Vietnam, India, Indonesia, and the Philippines
