Expanding NA's domestic fleet, easing passengers tops Minister's list

KATHMANDU, Mar 30: The Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation has put forward a promising plan to expand domestic flight coverage of Nepal Airlines by adding six twin otter plane to its fleet within three months.

KATHMANDU, Mar 30: The Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation has put forward a promising plan to expand domestic flight coverage of Nepal Airlines by adding six twin otter plane to its fleet within three months.


“To increase Nepal Ariline’s domestic coverage, we are planning to add the twin otters within three months,” Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation, Raindra Adhikari said.

Unveiling his 100 days ambitious action plan on Friday, Minister Adhikari said that he’d prioritize improving the airline’s business by expanding its coverage area.  In addition, Adhikari expressed his commitment to resolve all air traffic issues within 100 days, including extending airport operation to 21 hours a day.


With increasing passengers complaining of poor luggage system and hot room temperature, Adhikari vowed to improve baggage section and install air conditioning in both international and domestic terminals.
