KATHMANDU, Oct. 8: The Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation has initiated a process to form a permanent commission to investigate into future incidents of air crash.

The decision is being taken as that the temporary bodies formed for investigation and report on air crashes were not liable to implementation and effective to prevent further accident, said Minister for Tourism Post Bahadur Bogati at a weekly press meet on Monday.[break]

According to Minister Bogati, the permanent commission will comprise related experts, competent pilots and legal experts.

The permanent commission would advise long-term solution to the problems in the aviation sector, Minister Bogati hoped, saying the probe commissions were acting just for formality.

The Ministry has begun extensive discussions how plane crash could be minimized in the days ahead.

It is said the concerned air company were not provided the reports on the accidents till date. As a result, they were unaware how to prevent further crisis.

Recently, a plane heading to Lukla from the capital crashed near the airport killing 19 persons.
