KATHMANDU, Sept 24: Minister for Foreign Affairs Dr Prakash Sharan Mahat who is leading the Nepali delegation to the 71st session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) in New York today held a meeting with his Singaporean counterpart Dr Vivian Balakrishnan on the sidelines of the UNGA.
During the meeting, the Singaporean Minister said the Singapore Government wanted to increase investment in Nepal and cooperate with Nepal on multiple fronts. The two also exchanged views on the matters of common interest and bilateral help.

Foreign Minister Mahat is addressing the UNGA on behalf of Nepal today. He is expected to share Nepal's views on impact of climate change on many countries including Nepal; on problems of least-developed countries and refugees' problems, issues of migration with the world community through the address.
Likewise, he will inform the world community about Nepal's ongoing peace process and the status of the constitution enforcement. RSS
